Workshop Overview:
This workshop, organized by Dreamland Corp’s Disability ERG, focuses on the critical role of allyship in driving inclusion and accessibility within the workplace. Participants will learn how to become effective allies for employees with disabilities by understanding the barriers they face, advocating for change, and creating a culture of support and empowerment across the organization.
Itinerary:
12:00 PM – 12:10 PM:Welcome & Introduction The session begins with a welcome from the ERG Chair, introducing the theme of allyship and its importance in promoting workplace inclusion. Attendees will learn about the goals of the workshop and how they can contribute to a culture of advocacy and support.
12:10 PM – 12:30 PM:Building Allyship: Understanding Disability and Accessibility A 20-minute presentation covering the fundamentals of being an effective ally. Topics include understanding the barriers employees with disabilities face, recognizing microaggressions, and how to support accessibility efforts. Real-world examples will illustrate…
